  1. AUDITING: The scope of our audit function is both statutory and non-statutory, the objective of which is to issue a report that meets the requirements of the relevant statutes. If in the process of the audit, we become aware of any shortcoming in the operation of the client’s system of accounting and internal control or their implementation, we bring these to the attention of the Board, Management or other stakeholders and suggest ways of preventing or minimizing future occurrence of these shortcomings. We also carry out specialized audit on specific areas according to the clients’ needs.

TAX AND TAX MANAGEMENT: Our goal is to provide personalized services and ensure that our advice will aid our clients succeed and remain sound in the present day competitive economic and financial environment. We assist our clients in arranging their tax affairs in a manner that will reduce their individual and corporate tax burden.

 

This includes tax planning, advice on tax incentives, changes in tax laws and rates and the most beneficial tax alternatives in the light of our clients’ circumstances.  All Board members and employees are expected to pay their taxes under Direct Assessment and Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE) respectively. We assist our clients in computations and processing of these to ensure that the client pays the accurate tax that is legally permissible.

RECOVERY OF EXCESS BANK CHARGES: Many organizations which enjoy bank facilities in form of loans, overdraft and other financing facilities lose a lot of money through poor monitoring and management of such facilities. Often, the organizations suffer excess bank charges without realizing. In Esien Ukorebi & Co.
